Memorial Day

Our Memorial weekend was pretty busy. We did lots around our house (worked on swing set, painted playhouse, built fire pit). We also went camping, which was pretty fun. We went with some people from Nate's kickball team. Cassidy was so excited to sleep in a tent. I was actually dreading it. How did we sleep? Well, let me put it this way...between the dogs barking, a frog right by our tent, the train that went by about 3am, and my feet freezing off...I did not get much sleep. But the other two in the tent seemed to sleep like logs. Today it was breezy outside and we promised to show Cassidy how to fly a kite. She really enjoyed that. Then soon got sidetracked by her kitty (Sherbet). It turned out to be a pretty nice weekend....besides being a little sleep deprived :)

A basket for you!

Its going to be a rainy day here today, so I think that gives me a good reason to stay inside and stamp!
I've seen the Round Tab Punch ideas from Splitcoast and some people made a cute Easter basket from their punch. So I decided just to add flowers to mine. All I did was punch a tab & fold it in half. Then I took my small oval punch and punched that. I used the negative punch and then with my large oval punch centered that around the small oval and then punched that out. That is the handle. I tied a little ribbon on that and added some flowers. Isn't that cute? And so easy!!

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Polka dots & Paisley Designer paper
Ink: Old Olive Craft
Stamp: warm words
Accessories: Celery Organdy, ticket corner punch, brads, small & large oval punches, round tab punch, Spring bouquet flower punch, 1/8" punch.

More Scallops

It might be a disease, but I just have to add scallops to so many things! I think they add that "perfect" touch. This is a different type of scallop than my previous post that used the slit punch. This time I used our Corner Rounder punch and it gave a less curvy scallop. I just took the plastic guard off and lined each punch up like always.
I also wanted to use the new Palette O'Prints on this one, and being inspired by my fellow demonstrator & blogger, Kat, I used it for this gal's dress! The print is just perfect I think. It's just small enough for the proportion.
The color combo was not planned either, but I think it turned out ok. I wanted to use up my 06-07 In colors because its getting towards the end of the year (YAY!) and we'll be getting new colors in a little over a month! (actually us demonstrators can pre-order them in June, so it is only a little over a week away!)

Papers: Marigold Morning, Cool Caribbean, Rose Red, Whisper White
Ink: Cool Caribbean, Rose Red, Basic Black
Accessories: Mustard Ribbon, stapler, Corner Rounder punch.

Eat Cake!

I made this card a while ago, but I still wanted to post it here. It is one of my favorite cards that I've ever made. I am so glad that this set "Eat Cake" did not retire this year. I have had it since last July and just recently started playing with it. This designer paper is so beautiful, it's the Au Chocolat designer series paper from the Spring Mini catalog. Its double sided Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla colors. But on my card I used an Almost Amethyst marker to color in the polka dots to match my paper. I got the idea from someone on SCS. I also used my Slit punch to make my scallop border.

Papers: Almost Amethyst, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Au Chocolat Designer series paper.
Ink: Almost Amethyst, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: White Organdy Ribbon, Slit punch

Hello!

Welcome to my little blog. Inspired by several people who document their daily lives on blogs. Especially my sister-in-law & a fellow demonstrator, Kat. If they have time to do this, than why the heck don't I? I've been thinking about doing this for a long time, but finally decided today was the day to set it up. So here I am, a rookie blogger.
