Halloween Treat Bag

Here's a project we made at my Mom & Me Class last Friday. I used the little pumpkin from the Family Accessories set and "for you" from Happy Everything. I used both sizes of the tag punches and eggplant ribbon to tie the bag.

We had a lot of fun and I think the kids did too. It was my first Mom & Me and I think I'll do some more again!

Recipe for White Chocolate Popcorn:

1 bag microwave popcorn
1/2 bag white chocolate chips
1 Tbsp peanut butter

melt the white chocolate chips and peanut butter and pour over popped popcorn. spread on wax paper and let cool. I added food coloring in the bowl of melted chips & peanut butter (this part is optional) ENJOY!

Quickie scrapbook page

This page took only 20 minutes to finish! I love that! I got inspiration from Jen Balcer here. After I finished I see she has a lot more going on in the upper and lower parts of her page, but I think I'll just leave mine.

Even though the Outlaw papers are not very girlie, I liked the way they looked with the picture.

I used the new Build-A-Brads (antique brass) for the first time, and they are a lot of fun! I can see myself using them a lot in the future with stamps too.

I don't know if you can tell (maybe you'll have to click on the picture to see better) I used my paper piercer and pierced 2 rows of holes above the picture and below it on the Chocolate Chip paper. I just recently bought the Mat Pack which has guides to pierce in a straight line...WHY DIDN'T I BUY THAT SOONER??? Such a time-saver!

Recipe:
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Outlaw DP
Ink: Really Rust Craft, Close to cocoa, white gel pen
Accessories: On Board Simon Lower, Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain, Ribbon from District Ribbon Originals, Antique Brass Build-A-Brads, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack

Been away for awhile....

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. Last week I was busy cleaning and getting ready for the weekend...I left for a couple days to Women Of Faith. I got to see this:

Can you believe that she used to be a pastor's wife? I don't think there was 5 seconds that went by that we weren't laughing! We had a great time!

I'll be back later with some sort of project. Probably when my 3-year old has her quiet time. Otherwise I'm doing laundry and cleaning because when I was gone I guess they didn't appreciate a clean house.....

A card to Match

Here's the card I am giving my sister to match the paint can I made (you can see this in the previous post)

Again, I used Crate Paper, Michael's ribbon, and Kraft SU paper, and Short & Sweet Stamp set.

Spa in a can

Alright, so I confess....This is technically my first paint can I've made. I have a few of them hiding away, waiting to be dressed up! Finally I got around to it! All I needed was a reason...My sister's birthday (and that was last week!!)

So I had something else in mind last week, and it was pretty dumb (I won't even go there) and then came across the Target $ spot. They had some really cool spa stuff there and I just picked out a bunch not knowing if I'll use it or not. And then the idea came to me..."I'll use a paint can and decorate it to match!!" I didn't say that out loud at Target, but I was really excited! (I know, I know, it doesn't take much!!)

Anyway I hope she likes it. Usually she likes everything I do so I would be surprised if she didn't.

I used a bunch of Crate Paper & tag stuff, ribbons from Michaels, and on the closeup picture I punched out some flowers from the Spring bouquet punch.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Productive Morning

I have a group of friends that get together (after summer vacation) and scrapbook (or socialize, whatever you call it :) ) And today was our first day to get together since last spring! It was a much needed break from our past few weeks. We usually plan to get together once a week, but everyone is getting so busy, it is getting hard to get us all together at once, but we'll try anyway.

This morning I was able to make these 4 pages, although they're not totally complete, I'm glad I got this far!

The Great Pumpkin Search

Every year my parents grow a few pumpkins in the field and then in October they have all of the grandkids come over. We have a hayride, pick pumpkins, eat, play, and have so much fun!

This year there was a threat of rain (but didn't, thankfully) so we were still able to have the hayride, but they had already picked the pumpkins.

At the last minute my husband decided to hide the pumpkins in the hayfield and then we drove around with the hay wagon for the kids to find them. It was a lot of fun!

File Folder Album

Ever since Taylor made one of these and also posted the instructions here, I've been dying to make one! I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but isn't it pretty?

I used a bunch of Daisy D's papers and die cuts (I've had for a LONG time) and also some wide floral ribbon from some flowers I got last week. Other than that I used some SU stuff. You know.....sometimes it's really fun to work with the stuff in the back of my stash!

Recipe:
Paper: Daisy D's, File folder, Close to Cocoa, Ruby Red, VV
Ink: Close to Cocoa: LOTS of sponging
Accessories: lots of ribbon, rhinestone brads

Tagged-The Name Game

I've been taged twice...by Abi, and Rhonda (didn't get her blog name-Rhonda if you want to, just let me know your blog, thanks!)

The NAME GAME. The name of the game is to list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life, for each letter of your middle name. If you don't have a middle name, use the name you would have liked to have had. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog post containing you middle name and game facts. At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged and to read your blog.

J-Juice: Gotta have my tall glass of OJ in the morning-no "Joe" for me!

E- Expecting: I'm having a baby if you haven't guessed...Supposed to be a girl, due December 20th.

A- Aches & Pains: I'm having a lot of trouble with my pelvis, hopefully it will go away after baby comes.

N- New Camera: Just got my new camera today, now I can send in my SLR to get cleaned!

J Just give me stamps

Going pink

What do you think of my new banner for October? Angel reminded me that it's Breast Cancer awareness month, and I just got around to making my banner for support.

Here's a couple links to more cards from the 27 sketches:

SC 144

Since I've been done with my sketches for almost a week now, I've gotten a little break from blogging (not that I don't like blogging...I just needed a breather!!) And I don't know how many times I've said I'm going to do SCS challenges again...I'm terrible at commitments! But I had some extra time this morning and had the urge to make a card and went here for today's Sketch challenge.

My card is made from the Just Like You (RMHC Set) and Flowers For You DS papers. I didn't have any purple ribbon to match the Lovely Lilac flowers in the paper, so I cut some white taffeta ribbon and used my Lovely Lilac marker to dye it. That works much better than using the inkpad to dye it. It seems like it gets too dark whenever I try to dye ribbon with the inkpad.

I cut out my butterfly and added some glitter to it for some sparkle and put a dimensional on it so it would stand out some.

Recipe:
Stamps: Just Like You
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, WW, Flowers for You DP
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac Markers
Accessories: WW Taffeta Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimenstionals.

Thanks for stopping by!!
