Trying to catch up...

Is there such a thing as catching up in the scrapbooking world?

Here's a bunch of pages I made recently. I guess I work best under pressure! (no pun intended LOL)
Not much stamping here, but used my Cricut and a bunch of Splitcoast sketches.

Getting closer...

Hey everyone!
I'm so sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything. I will promise you I've got some projects that I've been working on that I'll post later today.

We woke up to snow this morning and it's so pretty! Now I'm in the Christmas mood!!

I wanted to show you some pictures that my SIL took last weekend. There are so many good ones it is hard to choose. This family picture of all 3 of us makes my neck look really fat, and I've tried to smooth it out in my PSE3 program, but it ends up looking really bad. Would any of you have any spare time to fix it for me???

I'm at 37 weeks now, officially full term. YAY! She can come anytime now :) Everyone has been telling me I look small for being 3 weeks away from my due date, but I really feel like I'm as big as a house!

I'll be back later with some stuff!

Crystal Lite Container

Here's a quick project I made a few weeks ago to show at a party. The hostess requested some cheap gifts for teachers, aides, and others. I thought that this would be fun to fill with homemade candies, or cookies (would have to be small) or any type of chocolate...Easy!

I used:
Stamps: Snow Flurries, Happy Everything
Paper: Wintergreen DP
Ink: always artichoke
Accessories: Always artichoke grosgrain, celery brad
Tools: Sm & Lg tag punches, Lg circle punch, Slit punch (for scallops)

Here is Heidi's comment

Heidi said...

Favorite traditions: to set aside a night to make a gingerbread house (usually get it up/frosted first) and then we spend time with candy and architectural atributes. It is fun and the kids love it.

One for any occasion

Here's a card I made with "Be Happy" that would work for just about anything!

I love the Uptown papers that I used on this. Look how beautiful the gray on gray paper and the adorable stripes are!

And I used our new (still new to me) Build-A-Brad for the center of the flower. The flower is stamped in Almost Amethyst which is hard to see in my picture.

Thanks for your kind comments on yesterday's post about my Grandmother.

Recipe:
Stamps: Be Happy
Paper: Basic Gray, Uptown DP, So Saffron, WW
Ink: Basic Gray, Almost Amethyst
Accessories: BAB, 1/2" circle punch, stapler, Wild Wasabi Ribbon.

Getting a head start....

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been away for a few days. We've been super busy. My grandmother died last Friday and the funeral was yesterday. She was 89 and had Alzheimer's for 10 years. I think she suffered long enough and is now in peace. Anyone who has relatives with Alzheimer's probably knows what I'm talking about. It's an atrocious disease that I wish nobody should have to deal with.

But now, I'm back up for some blogging. Sometimes we just need a little break but I thank you for coming back to see what's new!

I've been a little uncertain weather this baby is a girl or a boy...even though the ultrasound showed a girl. Must be nerves or something because I have bedding bought, new little outfits hung in the closet, and a pink baby papasan chair waiting for a little girl. I'm not washing anything or taking tags off until she's here! But I'm making some girlie scrapbook pages ahead of time anyway.

I scrapbook in 12x12 format because if I need a ton of pictures on a page I have the option to do so. I love the look of 8x8 albums, and may do a theme album someday. I don't have a baby album purchased yet, but I'm doing some research. I found this site that embosses on almost any album: Accent Albums. I had this done with my daughter's baby album (which is the Creative Memories baby booties album, and is retired and is available on eBay for over $50!) but I'm still looking for an album that I like. I am not willing to spend that much money on an album and I think it will be OK if they don't match anyway. Anyone have any good ideas for high quality albums that would work for me? I like SU's albums, but we're limited on colors. I'm thinking pink or blue if it's a boy.

Back to this page: I used Chocolate Chip CS, Flowers for You DP, and a 3-D sticker from Me & My Big Ideas from Michael's. SUPER simple and it just waits for a 5x7 photo to take center stage on this page.
