Crew Girl

I mentioned the Crew Kids Girl SS kit in the previous post, and after I posted, I was itching to make a layout with it. Here's my version of Valerie's Sketch. I love sketches because the first step is already done for me. All I have to do is follow it with my pictures and papers and VOILA! It's done in no time!!

Our blizzard from yesterday made quite a mess around here. We have huge drifts in our yard, and a neighbor got stuck in one right by our house this morning. Glad I don't have to get out with the girls today!

Recipe:
Papers: Basic Black 12x12, Regal Rose, Crew Kids Girl Designer papers
Accessories: Love & Happiness (SAB) Rub-ons, adhesive die cuts from crew kids SS Kit.

Stemming From

This is another sketch from Julee Tilman's blog.

Do you ever get some stamp set that you fell in love with when you first looked at it, but didn't know what the heck to do with it when you got it? Totally explains my feelings with this set. I love it, but have a hard time with it. I will just have to wait for more inspiration from SCS.

I love this color combo. Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Wild Wasabi. Which are some of the colors out of the new SS kit: Crew Kids Girl. It's a great kit which you can see here
It was on my first catalog order, but I haven't played with it yet....I need some serious scrapping time soon!

Recipe:
Stamps: Stemming From, Hugs & wishes
Paper: Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose, Wild Wasabi, WW
Ink: Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Rhinestone brad, boho blossoms punch, pink taffeta ribbon, distressing tool

Spring Solitude

I wasn't sure about my color choice here, but I guess it turned out ok. This is my first attempt at using this new level 2 hostess set from the spring/summer catalog. I like it because it's different than many of the sets that Stampin' UP makes.

The layout came from Julie Tilman's Mojo Monday sketches. Fun stuff there!

Recipe:
Stamps: Spring Solitude
Paper: Taken With Teal, So Saffron, Basic Gray, WW
Ink: Taken With Teal, So Saffron, Basic Gray
Accessories: yellow rhinestone brad, dimensionals, ribbon from District Ribbon Originals

Have a great day! We've got a blizzard here, supposed to last through the evening! YUK!!

I made something!!

Hello everyone! I have finally had a chance to create! I told my husband this evening that I wanted to stamp something tonight and being the great guy he is, he took the girls down in the basement and they've been playing for over an hour now! It's been really, really, really nice.......really.

So.....this is what I have come up with. I had plans to make a card...but for some reason I didn't feel like it and went the scrapbook route.

This is a 12x12 using Kraft, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, and Close to Cocoa prints dsp. I used the new hostess set that all of us demonstrators got for a Christmas gift "Time Well Spent" and just colored the flowers in with a white gel pen and close to cocoa marker. I added the "C" monogram cut with my Cricut and tied some ribbons onto it. I added some scallops using our scallop circle punch (this is the new technique I've been seeing everywhere the last few days)

I wasn't sure how it was going to come together, but I'm satisfied. (especially after being less than crafty these last few weeks)

Thanks for stopping by...have a great evening!!

She's Here!!

Lydia Grace
born on 12/27/07 @ 9:20 am, 8lbs 7oz, 19 1/4 in.

We're all doing well here. Big sister is so proud of her baby! You can see more pictures on our family blog: www.redmanfamilyblog.blogspot.com.

It's been an interesting adjustment here at our house. Cassidy seems to be really moody and seems cranky and we think that it was because of Christmas last week and the fact that she was with grandma & grandpa (who don't know how to say "no"). My husband calls this time "deprogramming" because she has to get used to being at home again. Hopefully this phase only lasts a short time :)

Lydia has been a super baby! The last 2 nights she has only been up twice and sleeps very well in her crib. So now we're finally catching up on our sleep!

Have a Happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by!
